The four major events are Shearing, Show Jumping, Woodchopping and Steer riding.

Our Entertainment Showcase is an opportunity for Entertainers to perform.
Alongside the main sporting events are a number of other activities. The BWR Easter egg hunt is a favourite and mid-morning scores of children burrow through piles of sawdust searching for chocolate treasures. There are obstacle courses running races and novelty events for children including a lolly scramble when several kilograms of candy are distributed accross the field. There is nail driving, raffles and stalls for adults.
The sports day is a fun family day out and some visitors travel up to 5 or 6 hours to attend and take part. A new feature event this year is the inaugural Waitom 1km Run.
